Very good note-taking app

I switched from Evernote to this app and it was a great choice. It has a nice, clean, uncomplicated layout. It stores everything on your computer in non-proprietary file formats, so you don’t have to worry about being locked out of your own files. It allows for multiple nesting of notebooks, which helps you organize everything just the way you like it (it doesn’t support tags, though, as far as I noticed). It allows you to hide the folder (notebooks) panel, giving you a very pleasant distraction-less writing experience. You can easily sync particular notebooks with Scrivener. The word count is far superior to the Evernote’s one. If it supported rtf format, it would be perfect.

I can’t say much about syncing with Ipad, since I use the program on my laptop only.

While Scrivener is great for longer texts - this will probably be my go-to app for all the shorter pieces of writing.
